Position Summary

Accounts Payable Unit, a part of Accounting Services, provides administration for payments due vendors and faculty/staff reimbursements. These invoice/expenditure requests must be administered in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Office of State Budget and Management, Office of the State Controller, UNC-G, Internal Revenue services and immigration/Naturalization Service. This unit includes seven personnel reportng to the Accounts Payable manager. High levels of knowledge and accuracy is demanded in the auditing and processing of accounts payable disbursements without audit findings at the State internal and external level. Staff are required to maintain strong working relationships throughout the campus community. They are required to process check requests, journal entries, reconciling funds, testing and updating upgrades on Banner conversions.

The Accounts Payable Unit is currently seeking qualified candidates interested in being considered for the Assistant Travel Auditor position.

The primary purpose of the Assistant Travel Auditor is to audit and process travel reports for reimbursements for the campus community. Assist with training the campus on travel policies and procedures and modifying of the travel policies and procedures. Assist with the reconciliation of the travel advance clearing account and processing of journal entries. This position also acts as a secondary auditor to analyze the information on the W-9 report regarding 1099s and to handle the ePayables process through Bank of America.
