The Center for Computational Sciences at the University of Kentucky is seeking a Computational Specialist to analyze, design, & implement computational research requirements and oversee software and network design. Dramatic changes in the area of high performance computing have placed new demands on the Center for Computational Sciences and created a need to support researchers from many disciplines at the University. As a Computational Specialist, you will work with researchers to understand, design, and develop advanced network solutions to research problems using emerging technologies. You will obtain research plans from domain experts and work to understand and develop a suitable system design to meet these requirements. The Computational Specialist will oversee the effort of junior staff and students. The qualified candidate will have a Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and six years of experience.
