The Offices of Institutional Diversity and Provost are currently seeking a senior administrator to lead a holistic student campus climate initiative in support of student learning and success. The selected leader will be responsible for helping to create a vision and implement strategies. This role will work closely with the Vice President for Institutional Diversity, Provost, Associate Provosts, and College deans to provide strategic direction.

Primary responsibilities: collaborate with key leadership and colleagues to plan; forecast, and implement initiatives; develop and manage relationships with various student groups; and work with a set of colleagues to integrate student services across multiple fronts.

Physical Requirements

The essential functions of this position require you to: provide visionary and strategic leadership and fiscal and resource management, communicate and build strong working relationships with staff, faulty and other individuals from diverse backgrounds, abide by University guidelines, maintain confidentiality, prioritize and manage work effectively, positively represent the university, report to meetings at different locations both on and off campus as well as work successfully with a team and independently.


Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm; with additional hours as needed to perform job duties.


The ideal candidate must have visionary leadership, strategic management and program development experience as well as extensive knowledge of student organizations and academic life. This individual must consistently demonstrate and encourage a commitment to quality, exceptional customer service, productivity and continuous improvement. We are seeking a confident, highly-motivated individual with strong critical thinking, analytical, decision making, planning and organizational skills as well as the ability to build collaborative working relationships. The Associate Vice President of Student Engagement must positively influence others; possess unquestionable integrity and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
