Position Status:

Basic Function:
WPI invites applications for the position of Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. This position will involve research for solar energy and thermo-structural materials. The research will include studies of electrical, optical, and mechanical properties. The research will also explore electrical and materials for applications in flexible electronic structures. Prior experience in the electrical and mechanical testing materials will be considered favorably along with capabilities in computational modeling.

  • A PhD in physics, electrical, mechanical engineering or materials science, or a closely related field. Significant experience in the testing of solar cells and light emitting devices will be considered favorably along with capabilities in design and computational modeling.
