Adjunct Faculty - Music (Jazz experience required)
Adjunct Faculty Instructors in the Communications, Humanities and Fine Arts Division are responsible for providing instruction and formatively and summatively assessing student learning.
Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Adjunct Faculty prepare course syllabi and design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to address different learning styles and ensure that students successfully meet the course objectives and outcomes. Adjunct faculty also incorporate learning centered principles and concepts and motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational experience.
Adjunct Faculty are responsible for student evaluation as well as timely and accurate reporting such as attendance verifications, academic progress, and final course grades. They also provide leadership in program promotion as well as support student success initiatives.
Waubonsee offers courses in three delivery modes, face-to-face, online, and hybrid at four campuses throughout the district – Sugar Grove, Aurora Downtown, Aurora Fox Valley, and Plano.
This position responsibility includes the Jazz Ensemble.
