Summary of Duties:
The Event Coordinator drives the creation, production, execution, and evaluation of strategic regional events, services, and activities resulting in increased alumni engagement in the WSU Alumni Association.

Responsible for recruiting, training, and leadership development. Point of contact for more than 100 volunteers in 50 WSUAA chapters and clubs nationwide.
Oversee event budget for over 300 strategic events.

Assists in management of other constituent groups and special events.
Oversees a team of temporary/hourly staff and volunteers.

The incumbent must be self-motivated and self-directed requiring minimal supervision for successful assignment completion.

The position involves lifting 30-50 lbs. boxes or other heavy items in the course of event set-up/tear-down and standing for long periods of times while at an events.

Required Qualifications:
Four years of college education including course work in public administration, business administration, hotel management, public relations, OR park/resource management AND four years of related work experience OR certification as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP); OR equivalent education/experience.
