Summary of Duties:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and supervision of the AOI Media/Video Production Team including: organizing multimedia productions with a variety of internal and external clients, assigning multimedia production and post-production work, checking for quality assurance in media products, monitoring inventory of media equipment and incidentals, recommending media equipment and software for purchase, documenting multimedia processes and procedures, creating billing estimates for external clients, hiring, training, and developing the AOI Media Team, and other related responsibilities.
The AOI Media Team creates media used in credit bearing and professional education courses, marketing, training, and other productions pertinent to the AOI mission. The multimedia productions vary widely and can include: videos, animations, interactive media, informational graphics, live-streams, web and videoconferencing productions, and other emerging technology creations such as virtual and augmented reality and educational gaming.
This position also provides support to faculty, staff or clients looking to create their own media through training and effective communication of best practices and national standards for technology-media instruction and multi-media and vide o production.
Primary responsibilities include:
-Research, conceptualize, produce, delegate, check for quality, and deliver multi-media objects for AOI related work, using a wide range of hardware and software tools to develop instructional and other materials.
-Maintain a high functioning effective, efficient team of multi-media and video developers and producers and manage workflows of each project from conception to delivery of the final product.
-Support Instructional Designers and faculty developers in the design and delivery of multi-media and video content for online, face to face, blended and hybrid courses; including providing trainings and workshops related to media development and best practices.
-Work collaboratively with internal and external units to ensure timely, smooth implementation and accessibility of multi-media objects.
-Position will include occasional travel. Less than 5% of the time.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, education, computer science or related field AND three (3) years of professional experience in instructional design and/or instructional technology such as audio/visual, learning management systems, multimedia, video production or IT resources. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
