Summary of Duties:
The Career & Internship Coordinator delivers insight to providing a comprehensive understanding and building of external relationships, primarily driven by the goals of cultivating exceptional internship and career opportunities for Washington State Tri-Cities students. This position is responsible for the development, implementation and the administration of programs and initiatives that will increase the students' participation and engagement with Career Development. The Career & Internship Coordinator will utilize in-depth knowledge to provide innovative services that promote the resources offered by the department, and aid with efforts that will retain students in accordance with the strategic initiatives set by the Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services (EMSS), the campus, and university.

The Career & Internship Coordinator assists the Office of Career Development in planning student centered programming. The Career & Internship Coordinator, as a member of the Office of Career Development, reports to the Director, and provides critical support to the mission of the department, Division of Enrollment Management and Student Services, and WSU Tri-Cities.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
