Summary of Duties:
Providing academic advisement for prospective and current undergraduate students within the School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering. Coordinates academic programs related to recruitment, retention, and graduation efforts. Responsibilities include the student recruitment process, analyzing applications, transfer evaluations and transcripts, assessing academic level, responding to academic inquiries, advising students, and developing individual academic plans. Other duties include processing and maintaining student records for undergraduate students in the School, and assisting the Undergraduate Studies Committee Chairperson in administering the undergraduate program, preparing reports, and responding to inquiries regarding undergraduate student program policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of full-time academic advising experience at a college or university or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.

Accreditations: WSU ACADA Level 1 certification within six (6) months of hire.
