Summary of Duties:
This position works with student-athletes with significant learning challenges and/or learning disabilities.
The Learning Specialist/Academic Advisor's primary responsibilities include: academic skill development, individualized support of academic success plans, tracking and monitoring individual progress, and teaching. This position also serves as the University advisor for assigned first and second year student-athletes.
The Learning Specialist/Academic Advisor must possess strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective interaction with a diverse population of challenged adult learners.

Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
