Boston University’s School of Public Health Events Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and following up on all aspects of the School’s outward facing events. 

We seek an experienced professional eager to lead world-class events in a high-paced setting.

The events manager will be responsible for coordinating School-wide events, totaling over 100 annually.

Events include symposia, seminars, salon dinners, VIP receptions, and development engagement activities, among others.

The School of Public Health convenes global leaders in policy, academia, nonprofits, and the corporate world.

The events manager will be the School’s first and key contact with external visitors; as such, professionalism, superior customer service, and excellent communication are key. High-levels of organization and communication are needed in this dynamic role.

Events take place during the day, on evenings, and on weekends. This position will work across departments, such as the Dean’s Office, Development, Communications, and external vendors.

Bachelor's Degree and 5-8 years of experience required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional, social media and other web based tools is also required.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated excellence in project management and problem solving, strong writing skills and a personal style that is warm, accommodating, and highly professional.
