We are currently searching for an HR Records Specialist to join our Chicago Office.


Under general supervision, provide records management support to Human Resources. Assist in the processing of transfers, promotions, salary adjustments, I9, and new hire process, including generating offer letters and coordinating new employee orientation matters.

Responsible for entering data in the Human Resources Information System (Workday) related to employee records. Assist with processing employee changes such as salary, promotions, etc. Coordinate and verify payroll transactions for faculty and staff, including ensuring correct pay rates. Maintains knowledge of policies and procedures and their application to HR processes. Prepare and process faculty contracts as requested. Respond to employee questions on a variety of matters. Supports HR office administrative operations. Assists HR staff with reports, correspondence, travel arrangements, and data collection. Performs other job related duties as assigned.


Associate's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Two years of related working experience and demonstrated knowledge of employment law is required. Prior experience in a college or university setting preferred. Experience with Workday is preferred. An acceptable working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including database, word processing and spreadsheet knowledge is required. Must be self-motivated, able to multi-task, work well under pressure and maintain confidentiality. Ability to interact professionally and tactfully with people of different levels of education, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences, and to exhibit an adequate level of respect to fellow employees and the campus community.
