Duties: Responsible for the curation of biomedical research data being collected by a collaborative team of investigators. This includes data management, quality control, data cleaning, data annotation, data provenance, data integration, data distribution, and basic data analysis. Data management will require familiarity with SQL and non-SQL databases.
Position is contingent on continued funding.
Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in a discipline with a quantitative major, minor, or significant coursework, and a minimum of two years of experience working with complex data and databases, or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
Training in computer information systems, computer science, epidemiology, informatics, information technology, mathematics, statistics, or related disciplines is preferred but not required.
Experience with SQL and/or non-SQL databases is desirable.
Experience with tools such as Spark and Hadoop for big data analysis is desirable but not required.
Experience with data analysis libraries in Python and R is desirable but not required
Experience with data visualization is desirable but not required.
