Job description

Duties: The Senior Research Investigator will spend his/her time developing and implementing approaches to study the role of MicroRNAs (MiRs) and other non-coding RNAs in T cells during infections and cancer. He/she will employ in vitro immune cell assays, in vivo infection and/or tumor models and Bioinformatics/genomic approaches. He/she will supervise one or more technical laboratory staff, students and/or junior faculty and will also participate in overall laboratory workflow for related research projects. He/she will prepare/write manuscripts, grant proposals and progress reports and will be asked to attend National/International scientific meetings.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Qualifications: A PhD with additional 5+ years experience is required for this position. Experience in T cell biology, invivo models of infections, MiRs, bioinformatics and advanced flow cytometry are also required for this position.
