General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Web Design Specialist. The Web Design Specialist is instrumental in the design and production of effective collateral materials for the Advancement Office as well as the design and enhancement of the UNG Foundation website and online giving pages. Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship and in collaboration with the Development team, this position will design, implement and manage online giving pages for each of the University's Colleges as well as general donation pages and special event pages, all using Blackbaud's NetCommunity.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Web Design Specialist will:
  • Design, implement and maintain Advancement website, including general information pages, Foundation pages, event pages, and online giving pages. Collaborate with Development Officers to create dynamic, user-friendly, aesthetically appealing webpages that will attract and inform donors, generating increased online donations.
  • Collaborate with Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship and Assistant Director of Donor Relations in design and production of collateral materials that effectively communicate, inform and thank our donors. Publications will include but are not limited to annual endowment reports, Foundation Annual Report, new donor welcome packets, special purpose fundraising pieces, Thanksgiving cards and other collateral as needed.
  • Manage NetCommunity users, security and interface with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge. Manage Online Express in Raiser's Edge.
  • Review, recommend and oversee software needs for website, online giving, crowdfunding and other digital communications.
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic and time management skills.
  • HTML and Website design
  • Social Media knowledge
  • Publication design experience
  • Creative writing background helpful
  • Understanding of cross-generational marketing key
  • NetCommunity experience a plus


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing or related field.
  • Three to five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
