General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Functional & Technical Specialist. This position supports the technical operations for the Bursar's Office including maintenance and testing of the Student Accounts Receivable system as well as other third party software applications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Functional & Technical Specialist will:
  • Act as primary point of contact to the Information Technology department. Troubleshoots BANNER-related problems.
  • Generate student bills and associated reports.
  • Work closely with the Bursar to update BANNER codes as needed, perform data management, data entry, data reporting and data analysis.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions that ensure compliance with university, state and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures.
  • Assist with special projects and performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials and BANNER.
  • Must be able to effectively use Microsoft Office products as needed.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to identify and resolve problems quickly, must be attentive to detail, and must maintain strict confidentiality.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or combination of post-secondary education and experience.
  • Four (4) years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
