Job Description

The Student Wellness Adjunct will oversee every aspect of the Student Wellness Program which will include, but not be limited to, marketing, promoting, scheduling group fitness sessions, monitoring group fitness sessions and helping out in the Lifetime Fitness Center as needed. In general the successful candidate will make sure the Student Wellness Program is run in an effective and efficient manner.

Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in any field and Certification (from the list) with demonstrated proficiency in that certification OR Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education with Certification (from the list)

Certification List: American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) {Personal Trainer, Health/Fitness Specialist, Clinical exercise specialist registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist} , National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) {Personal Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist}, National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) or American Council on Exercise (ACE){Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Health Coach Advanced Health and Fitness Specialist} Academy of Applied Personal Training Education (AAPTE) {Personal Training} Action Certification {Personal Trainer} The Cooper Institute (CI) {Personal Trainer} International Fitness Professionals Association (IFPA) {Personal Fitness Trainer) National Council on Strength and Fitness (NSCF) { National certified Personal Trainer} National exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA) {Personal Fitness Trainer} National exercise Trainers Association (NETA) {Personal Trainer, Group Exercise Instructor} National Federation of Professional Trainers (NFPT) {Personal Trainer}

Preferred: Master's Degree in Physical Education or Related Field with 18 Credit Hours in the Discipline.

Be able to use a computer.

Be willing and able to explain and/or demonstrate appropriate exercises.

Be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Be able to stand for long periods of time.
