The Event Management Lieutenant represents the University of Kentucky Police Department in planning and reviewing all events and special assignments on the University of Kentucky campus.
This position is responsible for managing and staffing all overtime and special assignments for the Police Department; analyzing and reviewing for all requests for events on campus; and providing planning, retrospective analysis, and process improvement for all events and special assignments on campus.
In coordination with the Event Management Office and Risk Management, this position will analyze all event requests considering the police department's goals and priorities for safety and security on campus.
This position is responsible for completing Event Action Plans, Incident Action Plans, After Action Reports and other process improvement analysis for all events and special assignments.
This position will work closely with representatives from Risk Management, Event Management Office, Athletics, and numerous other University work centers and public safety officials.

Must be able to meet the minimum fitness requirements set forth by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council Police Officer Professional Standards administered by the Department of Criminal Justice Training. Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 100 lbs, sitting for extended periods of time.
Primarily 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday - Friday and will be expected to work outside hours for training and overtime opportunities as needed.
