Position Summary

This position oversees the International Programs and the Strategic Planning Programs for the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). The Program Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining international education abroad opportunities for students within the CVM. In addition, the Program Manager is the lead contact between the CVM and the University in regards to strategic planning communications and activities.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Business, or a related field or a field which corresponds to the particular employing unit; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience, in accounting, management, budget preparation, word processing, database, spreadsheet, and web page software; and/or in performing responsibilities closely related to the operational activities of the employing unit or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Desired Qualifications

Master's Degree in any field; participation in a studying abroad program; experience in program management, including managing budgets, building and managing relationships with stakeholders, developing communication plans, including workshops, and establishing metrics to assess program outcomes; experience with University travel policies and finance and budgeting systems; excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; ability to work independently with minimum supervision. This position requires a current passport or the ability to acquire and maintain a current passport.

Description of End Date

This is an off-date position is funded for two years from date of hire with possible extension dependent on funding renewal.
