Description:
ArtsEmerson Graphic and Web Designer (maternity leave coverage)
ArtsEmerson is seeking a highly organized and innately curious graphic designer who, under the supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, will play a key role in maintaining the organization's brand and developing visual identities for shows in the ArtsEmerson 17/18 Season. This is a full-time temporary position from July 10 to mid-November 2017.

Campus Location:

Required Knowledge:
• 5-7 years of experience in graphic design
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, HTML/CSS and Illustrator; graphic animation a plus
• Strong layout and typography skills, retail point of purchase design experience a plus
• Proficiency in MAC operating platform and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and BaseCamp project management software

Required Prior Work Experience:
Qualifications: • Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent • • Experience working with print production and pre-press • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple overlapping deadlines • A strong web and design portfolio which demonstrates your attention to detail and passion for graphic design • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate goals and objectives • Ability to listen to and incorporate feedback, work cooperatively with staff, share ideas and develop effective responses
