Administrative Support III - Office of the Senior Registrar

Position Category: Staff - Full-Time

As part of the Senior Registrar's office, the Administrative Support III will be a resource for students, faculty and the public providing information regarding departmental and university services. The Administrative Assistant III will handle incoming calls and walk-in traffic, schedule meetings, and maintain records. This position will perform advanced and confidential administrative support duties including correspondence, reports, human resources and payroll information as well as maintaining office equipment and supplies. Other duties as assigned.

The typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Possible late nights during Commencement season. Hours are subject to change based on the needs of the department and/or University.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree related to the Summary of Duties or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of best practice office procedures.
  • Knowledge of University graduation and transfer policies, Banner, and Wolverine Track (Degree Works) preferred.
  • Skills in office methods, techniques, practices and procedures.
  • Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skills in the preparation and interpretation of reports, charts, graphs, and tables.
  • Skills in record management.
  • Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to follow oral and written procedures and instructions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to meet and interact with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to coordinate and assist in the preparation and monitoring of department financial transactions.
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow projects through to successful completion.
  • Ability to meet deadlines despite frequent interruptions and conflicting time demands.

Preferred Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit continuously, see, hear and talk on a regular basis. Fine hand manipulation for computer work.

Pay Range: $25,665 - $32,082
