Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for Administration & Finance and working closely with the Dean and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs, Diversity, and Inclusion, the HR Administrator is responsible for the administration of all full-time staff and faculty human resources actions for the College of Science (COS) and for ensuring all human resources operational activities completed within are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Administers the recruitment process for all full-time faculty and staff within the College. Provide assistance to departments regarding search plans for faculty and works with search participants to ensure compliance with university policies regarding equal opportunity and Title IX. Partners with University Human Resources Management team on a variety of HR related topics, including performance management, annual salary planning process, time tracking, and triage of incoming inquiries and directing employees/candidates to the correct office for resolution. Acts as primary contact for all immigration/visa needs throughout College, coordinating employee needs through the Office of General Counsel, the Office of Global Services, and the academic unit.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least two to four years of experience doing administrative work in a professional environment, experience working within the human resource function preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate success in exacting professionalism and discretion on human resources matters and effective problem solving. The qualified candidate will present with excellent project management skills. Superior written and oral communication skills are required. Experience working in a human resources capacity within higher education is preferred.
