Essential functions of this position:
This position provides primary reception, phone, and front desk coverage for the office of Human Resources which includes assisting applicants with application system, answering questions, greeting and directing visitors and callers for a variety of human resource inquiries, completing employment verification requests, assisting with posting of advertisements of vacant positions and screening of employment applications, serves as back up for completion of I-9s, and distributes exit questionnaires to separated employees and documents results.
N.C. Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Additional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position:
Must be able to follow HR guidelines, regulations, and policies
Must demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate appropriate and accurate information related to recruitment processes,
procedures, events, deadlines, and other items
Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations with tact and discretion
Must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Must demonstrate the ability to provide basic end-user support to individuals applying for employment via UNCW’s automated application system
Must demonstrate basic computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (or comparable programs), and have the ability to learn and use new systems
Must be able to multi-task and be flexible with work and changing priorities
Recruitment Range: $29,433 - $32,703
NC Salary Grade Equivalency: 59
Hours Per Week: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Months Per Year: 12 Months
Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM
