We are currently seeking a Program Director, Outreach and Recruitment, who will advance the institution's proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

Your mission: We'll look to you for leadership, development and oversight of programs designated by the Associate Vice Chancellor of STU (e.g., the Minority Male Initiative, Men of Honor student organization, Mobile Go, College Connection, grant initiatives, recruitment and other outreach efforts).

Your work: Highlights
In this role, you'll develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies for the district-wide Student Success Division.

You'll provide leadership and supervision for the Mobile Go Center and its budget, staff, activities and events. The purpose of the Mobile Go Center is to provide college-going resources to individuals and their families, and ultimately increase the number of students enrolled and succeeding in higher education programs in Texas.

You'll manage the development and implementation of the College Connection Program, coordinating with STU deans on the delivery of CCP services (assessment, advising and registration) to high schools in support of CCP enrollment.

In addition, you'll coordinate and maintain partnerships with local and service-area ISDs, community-based organizations and other public-serving entities, and collaborate with HISD leadership on the development and implementation of at least two college and career conferences.

SUMMARY

The Program Director of Outreach and Recruitment provides leadership, and oversight of program development for district-wide recruitment and outreach initiatives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned

Manage the development and implementation of a district-wide strategic recruitment plan based on market research and institutional enrollment goals.

Provide leadership and coordination for district-led recruitment initiatives and events, which may include confirming event logistical details, securing technology (wifi, electricity, A/V), coordinating participation from each of the colleges' Recruitment staff and COE faculty.

Establish and maintain partnerships with local ISD, community based-organizations and other public entities to identify and collaborate on district-wide recruitment and outreach initiatives.

Collaborate with District Director of P-16 Initiatives to develop a joint annual calendar for recruitment and outreach and P-16 initiatives.

Assist with the deployment, coordination and oversight of innovative recruitment initiatives such as the HCC Priority Student Onboarding, Admission & Registration (P-SOAR) program.

Work in collaboration with the HCC Contact Center to develop a systematic plan for implementing enrollment management strategies which may include text -messaging campaigns, outreach calls and robo-calls.

Work in collaboration with Information Technology to identify the latest tools to support or enhance HCC's recruitment and outreach efforts.

Develop an annual strategic recruitment plan that aligns with the institutional strategic plan and strategic enrollment management plan.

Prepare, compile and analyze district-wide monthly recruitment activity reports to measure institutional progress towards enrollment goals.

Work in collaboration with the Division of Communications to develop print collateral, promotional materials and other innovative strategies that align with various targeted audiences.

Develop, monitor and assess departmental goals and objectives to ensure alignment with institutional strategic plan.

Responsible for the planning and development of the District Recruitment & Outreach departmental budget and the Mobile Go Center budget.

Responsible for hiring, supervising and evaluating departmental staff.

Provide leadership and oversight for the HCC Mobile Go Center.

Serve as a member of the Strategic Enrollment Management Marketing & Recruitment Subcommittee, providing input related to best practices in recruitment and outreach initiatives.

Responsible for updating and maintaining departmental content on webpages including MyHCC and the institutional website.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Education or similar field required. Master's degree preferred.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three (3) years experience in student services in a community college or higher education institution.

Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Database, PowerPoint): PC and MAC platforms

Excellent written and oral communications skills, including the ability to give public presentations
