The George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit clinical practice group affiliated with the George Washington University, is seeking a full-time faculty member in the Division of Plastic Surgery of the Department of Surgery. Academic rank (Assistant or Associate Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include delivering excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and pursuing scholarly interests. Clinical opportunities are available in implant-based and autologous breast reconstruction, including microsurgical reconstruction; general and aesthetic breast surgery; post-bariatric body contouring; and skin cancer management, including Mohs reconstruction and the treatment of melanoma. Opportunities also exist in gender affirmation surgery, maxillofacial trauma, and complex wound management in association with the limb salvage center.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be Board-eligible or Board certified in plastic surgery at the time of appointment and eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia. A demonstrated interest in all areas of reconstruction, including microsurgery and wound care, and a strong background and demonstrated interest in basic science or clinical research, are required.
