Position Summary: The Administrative Specialist II is responsible for researching and preparing special reports, examining and verifying documents, and performing general office duties. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Provide quality customer service via phone, in person, and/or through email.
Greet and assist visitors, students, staff, and faculty who contact our office.
Manage central office front desk operation.
Supervise student office assistants.
Articulate information clearly and effectively.
Provide a friendly, welcoming work environment.
Compose, type, edit various documents including letters, reports, forms, and training materials.
Other duties as assigned.
General Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. There will be occasional times during the year that this person will be asked to work on the weekend/nights - such as residence hall check-in and a few orientation days.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability: Knowledge of:
Record keeping procedures; The principles and practices of mathematics and statistics; Work-related subject area; and Computers and software applications.
Conduct research and compile data into report form; Establish and maintain filing systems; Operate standard office equipment; Analyze documents to determine compliance with rules, regulations, and procedures; and Communicate both orally and in writing.
Minimum Qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.
