Duties: The Medical Physicist C is a board certified Medical Physicist. At the direction of the Chief Clinical Physicist (Photon or Proton), the Medical Physicist C will assume a lead role in the Medical Physics division and will participate in meeting the overall clinical physics needs of the Radiation Oncology Section. Specifically, the Medical Physicist C will be familiar with clinical procedures guiding Radiation Therapy Clinical Physics and with the overall needs of the Radiation Oncology Section in the technical area including Linear accelerator and Proton Therapy Unit QA, treatment planning needs and special treatment procedures, as required by the Chiefs of Clinical Physics. The Medical Physicist C is expected to maintain knowledge of current technologies and remain an active member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine.The Medical Physicist C will serve as a clinical mentor for staff physicists in Medical Physicist A and B levels.

Qualifications: The minimum of a Master's Degree and 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Board Certification is mandatory. Must pass Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Act (also known as Act 73) background checks, within 30-90 days of employment.
