Degree and Area of Specialization:
BA / BS required. Specialization in health care, biology, or related field preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Experience in basic research laboratory techniques and general computer knowledge (word processing and spreadsheet use) required.
Experience working in health care and/or clinical research preferred
The Research Specialist will be a member of Dr. Matthew Tattersall's research team, working directly with study team and research subjects on clinical trials relating to cardiovascular disease. This individual will be responsible for assisting with clinical trial recruitment, conduction of study visits, data collection, and maintaining study documents.
Appointment to last 1 year, with the possibility of extension to 2 years, or converted to a renewable appointment, based on funding.
The successful applicant must be able to work independently and as part of a group on multiple projects simultaneously, including prioritizing projects based upon deadlines and interdisciplinary collaboration.
