The University of Arkansas System eVersity, established in 2014, is a 100% online university that began offering classes in 2015. The institution is in the process of seeking accreditation and, in the interim, is working collaboratively with other institutions in the UA System.

Summary of Job Duties

The Academic Advisor provides academic advising and delivers student success programs for 100% online students; assesses student academic and career goals, analyzes student records, explains degree requirements, performs degree audits, monitors student academic progress, counsels students about academic decisions, documents student information, interprets and explains university policies and procedures, refers students to appropriate resources, conducts course registration, and performs various functions within the student information system; and develops and delivers programs that promote online learning and degree completion and initiatives that support a successful job search.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
  • At least three years of experience advising students at the associates or baccalaureate level at a U.S. college or university
  • Demonstrated ability to work a flexible schedule
