MANAGER OF DIVERSITY & INCLUSION, School of Medicine, Graduate Medical Science (8848/F1317)
Reporting directly to the Associate Provost for GMS, the Manager of Diversity & Inclusion will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and strategies that promote diversity and inclusion as it relates to recruitment and retention of underrepresented students, as well as building diverse, equitable, and inclusive communities for GMS. This position will also be responsible for increasing the visibility of diversity of GMS to the outside communities, as well as take an active role in developing pipeline programs, as well as identifying federal and private funding sources to support such programs, for underrepresented students into GMS programs.
1-3 years of experience and Bachelor's degree required.

A minimum of a B.A/B.S or equivalent and 1-3 years of work experiences in related area is required. Master’s degree preferred. Must have professional work ethic; fiduciary experience in grant management, positive and friendly attitude; be willing and able to perform multiple tasks that require considerable judgment, tact and understanding of the organization’s procedures. Familiarity with the BUMC/BU environment is desired as well as efficiency in time management, organization, accuracy, and attention to detail, especially in preparing and verifying important documents.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with Word Press and website maintenance also required. Advanced communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate information to internal and external audiences, client groups, and all levels of management are required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills to review and analyze complex information are desired. Must demonstrate excellent customer service abilities and be able to adjust to individual needs of students, staff, and faculty. Must be familiar with evaluating the program outcome measurements and managements of the data.
