Project Manager will provide support to the Principal Investigator and core faculty team of the Maternal and Child Health Center of Excellence at Boston University. The Center is funded by HRSA/Maternal and Child Health Bureau and resides in the BUSPH Department of Community Health Sciences.

The Project Manager will manage the day to day activities of the Center, with responsibilities spanning administration, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, budgeting, reporting, event organizing, and student support.

Specific initiatives of the MCH Center of Excellence include:

- MCH Research and Practice Fellowships;
- Diversity Scholars Leadership Program;
- Annual webinars for MCH practitioners;
- MCH Community Advisory Board development;
- Inter-professional education case conferences and other related activities;
- Scholarships for MPH and DrPH students with MCH focus; and
- The expansion of the MCH in Action network for emerging professionals.

Events include:

- Annual MCH Forum;
- Annual Alumni Award Reception; and
- MCH Advisory Board meetings

Communication and writing activities include:

- Newsletters for Advisory Board members
- Annual progress reports, including tracking of MCH faculty activities, and final report;
- Social media and web site management to reach current and prospective students; and
- Assistance with manuscripts re: Center activities for dissemination in peer-reviewed journals and other venues.

Required Skills

- Masters Degree and 2-4 years work experience in position with increasing management Responsibilities required.
- Experience particularly in the areas of education and research preferred.
- Substantial knowledge of the of the field of maternal and child health Position requires knowledge of grant processes (application and reporting), education programs (MCH content knowledge a plus) and community-partnered activities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse constituencies required Personal interactions with community representatives, students, faculty, and school administrators are a key component of the job.
