Job Description

The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at University of Missouri (MU) seeks multiple full-time, tenure-track faculty members at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels starting Fall 2017 to teach and conduct research in Big Data focused high-performance/high-throughput computing, distributed and cloud computing, wireless networking and software engineering. Applicants with added interest in engineering education and personalized learning platforms related to the Big Data technical focus areas will receive special consideration.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree related to the technical focus areas, and an outstanding record of research, a sincere commitment to teaching, and interest in engaging in substantive interdisciplinary research with collaborators in other disciplines. World-class research facilities and opportunities for interdisciplinary research collaboration are available within MU's College of Engineering, and through partnerships that exist with College of Education, College of Medicine, MU Informatics Institute, Division of Information Technology and MOREnet.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related field, demonstrated success in research, and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. Candidates conducting quality research in high-performance computing and networking are especially encouraged to apply.
