The Violence Intervention and Prevention (VIP) Center leads, supports, and sustains a culture of accountability to eliminate violence and oppression at UK. The VIP Center is currently seeking a Student Wellness Coordinator (Prevention Education Specialist). The Prevention Education Specialist will engage students, staff, and faculty in training and education opportunities provided by the VIP Center. This role will engage the campus community in violence prevention efforts and take the lead on primary prevention programming efforts.

Responsibilities for the Prevention Education Specialist will include: developing strategies for education and outreach to marginalized communities, hard-to-reach students and peer opinion leaders; developing on-going Green Dot bystander intervention curriculum and programming; planning, promoting and implementing education, training and outreach to provide information about sexual and gender-based interpersonal violence and VIP Center services; monitoring, assessing and evaluating these efforts and strategies; building and maintaining partnerships with key individuals and groups on campus and within the community to enhance VIP Center services and strategies. Additionally, this role will provide safe space, support, information and referrals to students who disclose violence as needed.
