Job Description

University of San Diego, an independent Catholic University, seeks applicants for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Mathematics to begin September 2018. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics completed by the date of appointment. The standard teaching load is an average of 3 three-hour undergraduate courses per semester, with the potential for a reduction from internal or external research grants. Faculty members are expected to have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, maintain active scholarly pursuits, and engage in service to the university and the mathematics community.

Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics, or statistics, completed by the date of appointment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
