Nature of Work

As the individual serving as the point person on matters related to the timely progression and graduation of graduate students, this position is responsible for planning and executing graduate student activities including orientation, workshops, trainings, and more based on an assessment of student needs. This position will thus coordinate with external units across the institution for graduate student services. Additionally, this individual will coordinate assessment activities based on the Graduate School’s strategic plan. Hiring date in July, 2017.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling or other field; 1-2 years’ experience in higher education; strong verbal and writing skills, ability to multi-task, ability to understand the needs of diverse student populations, ability to work with faculty, staff, and students.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in event planning, experience with a variety of social media platforms,

Salary

$54,204 minimum to $83,854 midpoint

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Normal office environment with long periods of sitting at times.
