Becker College has a part-time opportunity for an individual interested in coaching college field hockey.

Responsibilities include providing leadership and supervision in all aspects of the field hockey program including, recruitment, retention, academic support, practice preparation, game strategy, alumnae development, fundraising, and community service; supervising and training the assistant field hockey coaches and team manager; recruiting student athletes who meet the college’s admission requirements;  meeting annual recruitment goals as developed by the Department of Athletics; ensuring compliance with all college, NECC and NCAA rules and regulations related to recruiting and academic monitoring for student-athletes; ensuring department and college regulations are understood by and complied with by student athletes and coaching staff; and, working closely with the Athletics Department in any fundraising activities that will directly impact the program.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Master’s degree preferred; a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization required. Knowledge of NCAA, NECC and institutional rules and regulations; previous successful coaching and playing experience at the college level; ability to work effectively with all college personnel, students, alumni and the community desired.  Evening and weekend hours and a valid driver’s license required.
