Responsibilities

Audits and reconciles all fiscal activities and transactions of grants (Federal, State and Research Foundation) assigned to this position. Monitors expenditures to ensure compliance with Federal, State and University rules and regulations as well as budget availability. Approves transactions and follows up on transactions to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
Responsible for balancing and reconciling grant accounts and submitting monthly reports to PI, Business Manager and Grants Compliance Analyst. Calculates and compiles statistical data for financial reports or final reports. Monitors grant progress and advises Grants Compliance Analyst and PI of end dates to ensure timely and effective utilization of funds. Serves as liaison between PI and appropriate University offices as well as some external entities.
Responsible for completion and routing of proposal documents, including obtaining signatures. Back-up to Grants Compliance Analyst as needed. Assists with proposal budget development and maintains files of all contracts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or combination of post high school education and related financial experience equal to 4 years.
Experience with accounting principles and with preparing, maintaining and reconciling budgets.
Experience with applicable computer applications and basic computer functions, to include Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, or comparable software and the use of standard office equipment.
Experience performing work accurately in a detail oriented environment.
Experience prioritizing, organizing and performing multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing as well as ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Anticipated Salary Range

Anticipate hiring in the low to mid $30,000’s.

Pay Plan

This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.

Schedule

If not otherwise specified, schedule is M-F, 8-5.
