    The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, University of California, Irvine invites applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar position beginning July 17th, 2017.

    The available postdoctoral scholar position is in the area of structural engineering with a particular focus on soil-structure interaction of foundation components under seismic loading. The candidate will collaborate in experimental and analytical research and should have a strong background in large scale testing, data acquisition, and data processing, analysis and evaluation.

    In addition to the qualifications, the position requires a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on geotechnical or structural earthquake engineering

    The candidate will be responsible for assisting and collaborating in existing research projects, writing reports, research papers, and grant proposals. The prospective scholar will work with Professor Anne Lemnitzer and her research group.

    Initial appointment will be for a 12-month period, renewable subject to performance and availability of adequate funding. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
