DCI CANCER CONTROL (CPDC)

Occupational Summary
Plan, coordinate and administer activities within assigned program areas; develop, coordinate and advise on policy related to the Quality in Cancer Research Program. May exercise full supervision over regular Duke staff.

Work Preformed
Oversee, manage, and update a database of project charters across the 13 disease-based groups across the DCI
Manage a Clinician and Leader Acknowledgment Program (CLAP)

Perform project-specific data abstraction for disease-group based efforts

Write and manage report specifications for quality reports from EPIC
Maintain a project matrix to track quality initiatives required for certifications, accreditations, and site visits (including Magnet, TJC, CoC)

Be deployed for assistance with clinical quality improvement projects (e.g. conduct observations for time-in-motion studies, perform secret shopper projects, conduct focus groups with stakeholders including Patient Advisory Council, clinicians, and payers)

Organize interactions with internal stakeholders (PDC, Utilization Review, Performance Services, Duke Health Technology Solutions, Duke Cancer Network, Health System Corporate Finance)

Assist with dissemination of results from projects conducted within DCI, including posters and manuscripts
And other work as assigned.
