Duties: The Main Office Administrative Assistant provides a wide range of services year-round to prospective and current international students and professionals who use English as a Second Language and who are enrolled in short-term programs of study. These duties include: responding to inquiries about study and housing options and about procedures for obtaining visas; creating and maintaining student records on departmental and university databases; processing payments and assisting office manager with invoicing; providing administrative support and customer service for arriving and departing students; liaising with program coordinators and university centers, in particular International Student and Scholar Services; generating reports from databases; performing general office duties related to the functioning of the office and assisting staff.

Qualifications: High School degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. A Bachelor's Degree is strongly preferred. Excellent customer service and verbal and written communication skills; computer expertise including spreadsheet and database; able to work accurately under pressure, to handle confidential information, and to work effectively as part of team; proficiency in foreign language and experience with international clientele highly desirable.
