Duties: Assign and manage the schedules of the husbandry floaters based upon need and priority. Monitors overtime in the facilities; managing callouts/vacations. Serves as the primary back-up to the Associate Director of Husbandry Operations. Provides facility coverage in the absence of the facility manager. Provide direct oversight of husbandry staff including, hiring, disciplinary action and performance evaluations. Interface with investigators and researchers to troubleshoot and resolve problems related to husbandry, facility, and animal procurement. Assist in the development, management, and the implementation of appropriate Standard Operating Procedures in compliance with the AWA, AAALAC, FDA, USDA, and the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.

Qualifications: BA/BS required and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Must be LAT certified. (If
certified at a lower level, will have 6 months to get LAT.) Extensive knowledge of animal husbandry; knowledge of regulations governing animal
husbandry; previous supervisory experience; experience with various software; excellent oral and written communication skills; excellent customer
service skills; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work weekends and holidays. Position is considered essential personnel.
