The Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for a full-time faculty position. Responsibilities include developing and directing wound care for inpatients and outpatients at the University and surrounding hospitals and leading plastic surgeries (including hand and reconstructive surgery) at an area hospital. Salary, rank, and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Candidates must have an MD; successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved plastic surgery residency; obtained board certification from the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS); have extensive experience in wound care, leadership positions in wound care clinics, and clinical experience in general plastic surgery, hand surgery, and flap reconstructive surgery.
