Assistant Maintenance Program Manager

About The Unit:

Unit Job Summary: Reporting to the Assistant Director, Maintenance Program Services, this position will assist in the process of implementing and managing best maintenance practices for the planning and scheduling of maintenance by consulting with clients and internal operations and maintenance organizations. The Assistant Maintenance Program Manager (the AMPM) will assist in improving work force productivity and work quality for our clients by eliminating, in advance, potential delays and obstacles through planning that either re-instates or maintains the original reliability of equipment and the coordination of parts and labor. This position will be responsible for managing asset inventory projects from the point of design, construction and commissioning of new buildings through decommissioning of individual assets. The AMPM will be responsible for managing job plans and preventive maintenance schedules. The AMPM will serve as a Maximo subject matter expert, champion and key stakeholder for related applications and technology. This role is expected to assist in driving improvement in work process and practices from initiation to completion. Essential Functions: Asset Data Management - Serve as the FS Operation's liaison to manage the asset inventory process for any project or maintenance task involving asset commissioning or decommissioning. - Manage job plans and preventive maintenance schedules. Associate appropriate job plan and preventive maintenance schedules with new assets. - Lead and manage initiatives to routinely update job plans and preventive maintenance schedules. - Coordinate and implement strategies to shift work from reactive to preventive and predictive. Continued Process Improvement - Partner with the shop supervisors and employees to review business processes and standard operating procedures related to asset data and pm scheduling to support the informational needs of Facilities Services. - Foster positive collaborative work relationships with all stakeholders - customers, clients, co-workers, suppliers, other contractors and visitors, to meet identified contractual obligations. Reporting and Analysis The AMPM will assist and support the Assistant Director, Maintenance Program Services in the areas of: - Identifying performance goals - Developing and generating operational reports to support the informational needs of FS. - Developing and generating summary reports to measure KPIs Other - Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. - Enforce strict adherence to safety rules, practices & regulations.

Unit Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent related experience required.

Unit Experience: At least six years' experience in maintenance or reliability engineering related processes required.

Unit Job Function Competencies: Capable of functioning effectively in a team environment and producing results through informal authority required. Demonstrated written and oral communication, problem solving and presentation skills required. Ability to organize and manage concurrent activities required. Skill in facilitating meetings. Demonstrated knowledge of facility maintenance systems and understanding of preventative maintenance required. Excellent administrative, organizational, and computer skills, including proficiency in MSOffice suite of software (Excel, Word, and Outlook) required. CMMS experience (Maximo) preferred. Project management experience preferred.
