Psychology, Full-Time, Tenure-Track, Assistant Professor
The College of Education and Professional Studies currently has 100 full-time and over 100 part-time faculty organized in seven departments. The college offers 23 undergraduate majors and 28 graduate majors. All teacher education programs are CAEP accredited. Other programs are recognized at the state and national levels with accreditations by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Dietetic Association (ADA), the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR), and the Oklahoma Educational Quality and Accountability Commission (OEQA). UCO’s College of Education and Professional Studies has an enrollment of nearly 4,800 students, about one-fourth of whom are graduate students. Assistant Professors must have completed all requirements in a doctoral program at an accredited or internationally recognized institution; or completed a non-doctoral degree program requiring a minimum of 60 graduate hours. Teaching; research; departmental/school, college and university service is expected. This position is full-time, tenure-track position.

Department Specific Essential Job Functions:
Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate (master’s level) courses in research and specialty areas and other service courses such as Introductory Psychology, Careers, and Statistics as needed. Additional responsibilities include involving students in research, serving on committees, and advisement. UCO is a metropolitan university with a focus on undergraduate education and scholarship.
Salary Range: Commensurate with credentials and experience.
