Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary for this position is $125,000 and is negotiable and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation. Qualifications

Qualifications:

The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Endocrinology has an opening for a full-timeInstructor. The candidate will be expected to provide oversight and care for patients within the Section of Endocrinology in inpatient and outpatient settings at the Briargate location in Colorado Springs. In addition, the candidate will be expected to provide care coordination with Primary Care providers, as well as subspecialty clinics by collaborating with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team.

Examples of Work Performed

§ Provides oversight and care for patients within the Endocrine section in inpatient and outpatient settings.

§ Care coordination with Primary Care providers, as well as subspecialty clinics.

§ Provides academic support through the training of fellows, residents and medical students.

Minimum Requirements

§ MD degree or equivalent.

§ Board Certified or Eligible Pediatric Endocrinologist

§ Meets the requirements necessary to obtain a medical license in the State of Colorado.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

§ Knowledge and ability to provide medical management to children with endocrine-related diagnoses

§ Ability to collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants and nurses to form a high performing medical team

§ Knowledge of academic medical institutions



Preferred Qualifications

§ Successful completion of pediatric residency

§ Training in Pediatric Endocrinology

§ At least 2 years experience in one or more areas of pediatric endocrinology and diabetes. This experience can include fellowship.
