Job Summary/Basic Function:
Systems modeling. Use of mathematical and computational approaches to model metabolic pathways, regulatory networks, pathway fluxes, and production pipelines to inform strategies for metabolic engineering. Expertise in model validation by mass spectrometry, NMR or other appropriate methods will be expected. All researchers interested in optimal production and yield of bioproducts will benefit from this expertise, so this position should synergize the group. It is anticipated that this appointment will be made in the disciplines/departments of Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Computer Science and Engineering.

Minimum Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
2. Established track record of funding and publications in the area of metabolic network analysis and/or engineering.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in microbial or plant production systems.
2. Employ a combination of theoretical modeling and experimental approaches.
