The Assistant Dean of Student Services manages student services at the College of Law including but not limited to non-academic student advising and counseling, student conduct and safety, student communication issues, and student mental health referrals as needed. In addition, the position supports students through the bar application process including character and fitness and related matters and acts as the College liaison with Kentucky and other jurisdiction bar exam offices.

The Assistant Dean of Student Services also counsels and guides law students on the availability of financial aid, associated regulations, and the financial aid process. Services include providing information to law students on alternative financing options and debt management as well as organizing financial aid workshops to support law students in understanding how to finance their legal education.

In addition, the position oversees all student organizations and conducts the student leader meetings. The position also provides administrative oversight for Honor Code matters in collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. The Assistant Dean of Student Services reports directly to the Dean of the College of Law.
