The University of Kentucky is looking for an individual to serve as the Assistant Director in the Center for Community Outreach in the Office of Student Organizations and Activities. We are searching for an innovative individual to provide professional-level program direction and advising for community service and outreach programs. Housed in the Office of Student Organizations and Activities, the Assistant Director will be responsible for the advisement of a portfolio of programs within Civic Engagement, the Center for Community Outreach (CCO), and DanceBlue. Responsibilities include student advising and coaching, program development, community engagement, training development and facilitation, strategic planning, risk management, assessment and evaluation, reporting, and fiscal control.

Physical Requirements

Sitting and/or standing at workstation for extended periods; may require lifting and/or carrying light-weight objects; traversing to/from meetings/events.


Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.


Professional advisement in a collegiate setting with student-driven programs and services. Student leadership training and development experience. Demonstrated knowledge and skills in campus programming. Demonstrated effectiveness using Microsoft Windows.

Preferred Education/Experience

Department prefer at least a Master's degree and 3 full years of related employment experience.
