Respiratory Therapy Director
Under the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences and in accordance with established division and accreditation policies, procedures, and practices, provides academic leadership for the respiratory therapy programs, faculty and students. Assists in the organization, development, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the Respiratory Therapy Program. Works collaboratively with the Medical Director and Director of Clinical Education to ensure the program offers high quality theory, lab, and clinical experiences for students. The Director ensures compliance with applicable accreditation, licensing, and quality control standards, including oversight of the creation of and timely submission of accreditation documents. Other responsibilities include recruiting, evaluating, and mentoring program faculty, developing and managing the program’s annual budget, addressing student issues and concerns, and maintaining/fostering relationships with clinical partners. In accordance with CoARC standards, the Director shares teaching responsibilities as scheduled.
