Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities – Swim Center
Hofstra University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Colonial Athletic Association is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Assistant Director of Athletic Facilities – Swim Center. This is a full-time, 12 month position that serves the basic function of day-to-day management of the Hofstra Swim Center. Responsibilities include supervising the lifeguard staff, payroll, cash register receipts, Hofstra Card and daily deposits. Insure the pool is in compliance with all rules and regulations set forth by the Board of Health. Coordinates all Physical Plant and Public Safety functions. The successful candidate will be requested to work extended hours and weekends to assist in Athletic Facilities Operations. Applicants should have excellent organization and communication skills.
Bachelor's degree required. Prior experience working in a pool center, hiring staff and lifeguard certification necessary. CPR for Professional Rescuers Instructor and Certified Pool Operator Certificate preferred but not required.
